The Senate Transportation Committee is the budget and policy committee with jurisdiction over issues relating to movement of goods and people. Also included in these issues are the policing of highways and the administration of vehicles and drivers licenses.

Members of the committee may also serve on the Joint Transportation Committee which is a Legislative Agency comprised of House and Senate members that meets during the legislative interim to conduct studies on various transportation issues.
