| Abstract |
In accord with its 2003-05 work plan, JLARC has completed four individual agency performance and outcome measure reviews. This fifth and current review takes a broader look at performance between agencies rather than within agencies. Specifically, this review examines how workforce and economic development efforts are connected and work together across nine different state agencies and how the Legislature can better understand the results of these coordinated efforts. The review includes three recommendations: one to OFM regarding improvements to the Priorities of Government effort, one to the nine agencies under review to create collective performance measures, and one to the Legislature to increase its involvement in governing for results efforts. The nine agencies under review, plus OFM, generally concur with these recommendations. |
