Abstract This JLARC-sponsored analysis presents information on: 1) current efforts in DSHS to improve coordination across the multiple services the agency provides to clients; 2) efforts to improve information systems to enhance service coordination; 3) the process used by DSHS to get feedback from clients; and 4) the experiences of other states and jurisdictions as they attempt to improve service coordination. The report describes the lessons learned as these efforts were reviewed, and summarizes the considerable body of literature related to service coordination. Included is a recommendation on improving the client survey used by DSHS to get feedback from clients.
