Abstract JLARC’s 2001 Investing in the Environment performance audit recommended changes in the ways state agencies invest money in projects, track results, and coordinate services to local governments.  JLARC’s most recent follow-up review found that local jurisdictions and nonprofits would like programs to improve service coordination.  State agencies report that they have made efforts to improve coordination.
