Homeschooler Elizabeth Baron serves as House page

Olympia - Elizabeth C. Baron, 15, served as a Page for a week in the House of Representative this session. Elizabeth, daughter of Christopher and Laura Baron of Roy, was sponsored by Rep. Tom Campbell (R-2ndDistrict). House Pages serve for one week in the Legislature, performing a wide variety of tasks as they assist legislators and staff, including distributing bills and amendments to members offices and on the House floor, and sometimes, presenting the flag in the daily opening session.

"It's really a good opportunity for young people to experience our state government," Campbell said. "It's a learning opportunity that teaches students the significance of our governmental process.
