Recommended Legislation For 2013 Session

Retire-Rehire Correction (DRS Bill Draft)

Restore the prior policy for specific PERS return-to-work rules as follows:

  • Reapplying the 867-hour option to PERS retirees who return to work in positions covered by other DRS-administered  retirement systems.
  • Stating that the return-to-work rules apply only to retirees hired into eligible postiions.

Letter 2012 Contribution Rate Recommendation to the PFC [115KB]
  Adopt the recommended contribution rates as calculated in the 2011 preliminary Actuarial Valuation Report for the 2013-15 Biennium, but retain current normal cost rates for the Public Safety Employees' Retirement System and Washington State Patrol Retirement System (Option B).
