Question/Complaint
Alleged that the respondent violated RCW 42.52.180 when his campaign web site contractor used the State Seal in constructing the page.
Summary
RCW 43.04 directs the Secretary of State, as custodian of the Seal, to enforce its proper use and 43.04.050(2) forbids the use of the Seal in a political campaign.  The Seal was removed from the site the same day the Secretary notified the respondent.  This complaint followed.  Board concluded that proper subject matter jurisdiction had been exercised and the complaint was dismissed.  RCW 42.52.320.
