Question/Complaint
Was it a violation of RCW 42.52.180 to include partisan statements in a newsletter criticizing a political party and expressing hope the Representative's part would be in the majority after the next election?
Summary
No.  Citing C96-03, it is acceptable, thereby normal and regular, to express legislative positions in partisan terms.  The statement about returning to power in November could be viewed as an indirect appeal for campaign support but is somewhat ambiguous and minor in terms of the overall document.  Dismissed.
