Complaint alleged that Respondent, Rep. Goodman, used legislative newsletters to assist his campaign by posting those newsletters on his campaign web site.
Summary
A legislator's use of legislative press releases, prepared with the facilities of the House of Representatives, through the posting of those releases on his campaign web site is a violation of RCW 42.52.180 - use of public resources to assist a campaign.  Respondent stipulated to the violation and a sanction of a Letter of Instruction was levied by the Board.  See also; AO2004 - No.1; and CO2006 - No. 5 and CO2006 - No. 7.
