Abstract

The 2002 Supplemental Operating Budget directs JLARC to conduct a performance audit of the Division of Development Disabilities (DDD) within the Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS), with an interim report due to the Legislature in December 2002.  This interim report describes the Divisions community-based clients and the services provided to them.  This report looks at DDDs eligibility determination process, how the types and levels of services clients receive are assessed, and the involvement of another major part of DSHS the Medical Assistance Administration in providing acute medical services to DDDs clients.
