| Abstract |
The Department of Labor and Industries (L&I) has a statutory mandate to refer injured workers to providers of vocational rehabilitation services based on performance criteria. A 2003 JLARC review indicated L&I was not in compliance with this statutory requirement and recommended changes in the calculation of provider performance criteria. The 2004 follow-up review finds that L&I has emphasized the use of performance criteria in making provider referrals and made improvements in the performance scoring methodology to emphasize desirable outcomes. |
