North Thurston freshman serves as House page

Olympia -- Virginia Ann Wightman-Massey, a freshman at North Thurston High School, served as a Page for a week this session in the House of Representatives. Virginia Ann, daughter of Mary Jane Wightman-Massey of Lacey, was sponsored by Rep. Tom Campbell (2nd District).

House Pages serve for one week in the Legislature, performing a wide variety of tasks as they assist legislators and staff, including distributing bills and amendments to members' offices and on the House floor.

Campbell said he appreciated Virginia Ann's service to the House. "The Page program is a great learning opportunity students as they experience our state government process personally."
