Campbell's action produces $75,000 for Rainier Historical Society heating system

In the closing days of the Legislature, Rep. Tom Campbell (R-2nd District) worked to acquire $75,000 in the state's Capital Supplemental Budget for a new heating system for the 'old school house' that is now being used for all local community activities in Rainier, including a senior center, arts and crafts programs and children's activities.

Last session, Campbell worked to approve about $20,000 to replace the roof on the historic structure.

"This is a small amount of money that is being very well spent in the community of Rainier," Campbell said. "This facility provides a cultural community asset for everyone, so I am pleased to continue my support on this worthy project for the people of Rainier."
