September 19, 2012
Annual Summer "Friend" Raiser
5:00 - 7:00 p.m., Joel M. Pritchard Building Dining Room
Suggested donation $25

The Capitol Furnishings Preservation Committee's 2012 Summer Friend Raiser event is just around the corner.  Mark your calendars for Wednesday, September 19, at the Joel M. Pritchard Building Dining Room, 5:00 p.m.

Come and enjoy food, drinks and fun.  Bring a friend and spend the evening meeting new friends.

The Preservation Committee does not receive any direct state appropriations.  The effort to maintain and restore historic furniture pieces in the capitol buildings is helped by a portion of the financial proceeds from sales of the state seal and purchases made at the Legislative Gift Center, but the greatest source of support comes from private contributions.  Please set aside September 19 to come and be a part of this valued work.

The current project of the Committee is the restoration of the leather chairs in the Governor's Conference Room.  In several phases, we will repair, restore, and recover the three sets of chairs.  (The large and small tables in the Governor’s Conference Room have already been restored.)  Your generosity will help that project be completed more swiftly and beautifully!
